Three Suspects Arrested after Stealing from Uzbek Tourist at Patong Beach

Two Thai and One Myanmar suspects were arrested within three hours after they stole a bag with items worth a hundred thousand Baht from an Uzbek tourist on the Patong Beach.

The Patong Police told the Phuket Express that at 5:45 A.M. on Wednesday (February 5th) they arrested Mr. Analas, 24, from Krabi, Mr. Anuwat, 23 from Phuket, and Mr. Ong, 21 from Myanmar. They were arrested in front of a convenience store on the Ratch Patha Nusorn Road in Patong.

Seized from them were the stolen bag with many items worth in total of a hundred thousand Baht. All three suspects admitted to police that they stole the bag. They were taken to the Patong Police Station to face charges of theft at night.

The arrest follows after MR. XHAYRDONION, 21, Uzbek national, filed a report to the Patong Police. He told police that at 3:00 A.M. he put his bag on the beach chair while he was walking along the beach. His bag later disappeared. However after the arrest, the bag and items have been returned to the Uzbek tourist.
