Australian Man Arrested in Patong for Arson

An Australian man, wanted in connection with an arson case, was apprehended by the Patong Police on Friday, January 31st, at 1:00 P.M., according to the Phuket Express reporting team.

The suspect was arrested at his residence on Sai Nam Yen Road in Patong, following an arrest warrant issued by the Phuket Provincial Court. He faces charges of arson, accused of setting fire to another person’s house, as well as assault causing both bodily and mental harm, and carrying a weapon in public without permission.
After his arrest, the suspect was taken to the Patong Police Station for further legal proceedings. Details regarding the case and the identity of the suspect have not been disclosed by the Patong Police, and no statements from the suspect were available at the time of this report.
