Phuket Airport Responds to Viral Video of Passenger Urinating in Terminal

On January 31st, 2025, Phuket International Airport clarified an incident involving a foreign passenger urinating in the international arrivals hall on January 30th, after footage circulated on social media.

The passenger, a Saudi Arabian national on Indigo Air flight 6E1072 to Mumbai, was reportedly intoxicated and unable to control himself. Airline staff deemed him unfit to fly and denied him boarding for safety reasons.

While being escorted from the waiting area, he allegedly urinated against a glass wall, causing a disturbance to other passengers.

Airport security immediately detained him and placed him in a secure area to sober up. Due to his condition, tourist assistance officers and immigration police were called to handle the situation.

Phuket Airport emphasized its commitment to strict security and public order, urging all travelers to follow airport regulations to ensure a safe and pleasant experience.
