Kathu, January 23, 2025 – A tragic accident occurred this morning on Wichit Songkram Road near a popular water park in Kathu, resulting in the death of a motorcycle rider.
The incident was reported at approximately 8:30 A.M. when emergency services were alerted to a collision involving a motorbike and a sedan. Upon arriving at the scene, first responders discovered the wreckage of both vehicles.
The rider, believed to be of Thai nationality, was found deceased at the scene. His identity has, however, not yet been fully confirmed. The sedan involved in the crash was also significantly damaged.
Authorities from the Kathu Police Department are currently investigating the exact circumstances that led to the accident. They are working diligently to determine the cause of the crash and to identify the rider.
The road was temporarily closed to traffic to facilitate the investigation and clear the accident site. Local residents and drivers are advised to seek alternative routes to avoid further delays.
