Nigerian Motorbike Rider Dies after Running Red-Light before Hitting Minivan in Rassada – VIDEOS

A Nigerian motorbike rider died after he was riding a motorbike before hitting a minivan at a red light at an intersection in Rassada.

Emergency responders were notified of the incident on Sunday (January 12th) at an intersection near the Tesco Lotus in Samkong. They arrived at the scene to find the damaged motorbike and the minivan.

The motorbike rider who was identified only as a Nigerian national had sustained severe injuries. The Nigerian was taken to a nearby hospital where he was sadly pronounced dead.

Social media users blamed the minivan driver after they watched a dash cam from another vehicle at the intersection. A dash cam video from the minivan which was released after shows that the minivan driver was heading north through the green light. The motorbike was running through the yellow light heading to Kathu.

Police are still investigating the incident and have not assigned liability as of press time.
