Thalang– A motorbike rider pursued a hit-and-run SUV driven by a foreign national after witnessing an accident in Cherng Talay.

A viral video clip from a dash cam of another vehicle behind the accident captures the incident, which occurred over the weekend in front of a petrol station in Cherng Talay.

An unidentified Thai male rider, who was riding his motorbike with a passenger near the petrol station, observed the accident. He reported to the local press that a white SUV driven by a foreign man struck a male victim’s motorbike before speeding away.

The motorbike rider chased after the SUV, honking his horn to signal the driver to stop. Meanwhile, his passenger called the police hotline 191. The SUV continued driving until it reached the Cherng Talay Intersection at a red light, where Traffic Police were able to stop the vehicle.

It was not, however, identified what happened to the foreign driver and police declined to immediately name him.
