UPDATE: Body of Missing South Korean Found off Pha Ngan Island

The body of a missing South Korean Man was found off Pha Ngan Island in Surat Thani.

Our previous story:

A South Korean tourist has gone missing after a long-tailed taxi boat capsized near Pha Ngan Island, while five foreign passengers, four Thai passengers, and three crew members have been rescued.

Now for the update:

The Koh Pha Ngan Police told the Phuket Express on New Year’s Day that they were notified of the body on New Year’s Eve near the Rin Beach, the famous beach known for the Full Moon Party. The body was found near the pier. The body was pulled back to the beach.

The body was confirmed by police as the 30 year-old South Korean man who was missing. His body was taken to the Koh Pha Ngan Hospital while the South Korean Embassy has been informed.
