Now for the update:

The Karon Police has released more detail about the case. They told the Phuket Express that the Phuket Provincial Court issued an arrest warrant this week for the suspect. The wanted suspect, identified only as Mr. David, 25, Austrian, is being accused of reckless act leading to death. The Austrian suspect has said he is not guilty and denies involvement.

Witnesses and CCTV footage near the scene show that the jet-ski rider in question was riding at high speed. The jet-ski was turning before crashing into the Russian man who was swimming in the sea. The jet ski rider then fled the scene.
