Foreign Tourist Found Dead after Reportedly Being Hit by Jet-Ski in Phuket

Karon – A tragic incident unfolded near Karon Beach as a foreign tourist was found dead after reportedly being hit by a jet-ski.

Karon Police were notified of the incident at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, December 17th. Upon arrival, they encountered Mr. Jade, 29, a Thai national, who reported that a foreigner had informed him about the collision before disappearing into the sea. Unfortunately, Mr. Jade did not have any further details about the informant.

Authorities immediately began efforts to track down the jet-ski involved in the incident, with rescue divers searching the nearby waters.

Shortly after midnight on Wednesday, December 18th, local fishermen alerted police to the discovery of a male foreign body near Kata Beach. Police believe the victim had died at least four hours before being found.

The body has yet to be identified, and an autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause of death. The investigation to locate the jet-ski driver and operator continues. Investigators are also reportedly looking for the foreign informant to determine his connection to the situation.
