Boat Capsizes at Coral Island off Rawai

Phuket –

A boat capsized at Coral Island off Rawai on Monday (December 16th).

The Royal Thai Navy Third Area Command told the Phuket Express that at 2:00 P.M. on the day in question they were notified of the incident near Banana Beach. Water had leaked into the boat before it capsized. The boat was waiting for tourist passengers after arriving at the beach. Another boat was called to pickup tourists back to the Chalong Pier.

The registered boat was available to carry up to 60 passengers with six boat crew members and one boat captain.
