Tenant Injured after Landlord Opens Fire in Phuket Town

Phuket –

A tenant has sustained leg injuries after a landlord fired gunshots after an argument at a group of rental rooms in Phuket Town on Thursday (December 12th).

The Phuket City Police Chief Colonel Pratueng Phonmana told the Phuket Express that they were notified of the incident at 5:30 P.M. at the rental rooms in Soi Pattana 2 on the Pattana Road in Talad Nuea.

Emergency responders and the Phuket Express arrived at the scene to find two injured individuals. Mr. Solod, 36, the landlord, had sustained head injuries. Mr. Panuphong, 36, the tenant, had sustained leg injuries from a bullet wound. The tenant was taken to a local hospital.

Police seized a handgun from the landlord who was immediately arrested at the scene. Three bullets and one cartridge were found on the ground at the scene in front of the rental room.

Witnesses told police that the landlord warned the tenant after his neighbor complained about him allegedly making loud noise. They argued before they started fighting. The landlord opened fire at the tenant. The landlord did not release any statement as of press time.
