Myanmar Man Arrested Driving Tour Boat in Phuket

Phuket –

A male Myanmar national was arrested illegally driving a tour long-tailed boat in Phuket.

The Phuket Marine Police told the Phuket Express that earlier this week they arrested a suspect identified only as Mr. Paii, 21, a Myanmar national at the Chalong Pier. He was driving the tour long-tailed boat heading from the Lon Island off Rawai to the pier. He was unable to present the legal license for the boat.

He was taken to the Chalong Police station to face charges of working without legal permission, driving on an expired license for a boat, and driving a boat without a legal driving license.
