Singaporean Man Dies During Massage Session in Patong, Cause Under Investigation

A Singaporean man Died following a massage at a parlor in Patong on Sunday (December 8th).

The Patong Police told the Phuket Express that they were notified from the Patong Hospital that at 11:05 P.M.. Mr. Lee, 52, Singaporean national, was pronounced dead. No wounds were found on his body.

Medical staffers told police that they were called to a massage parlor near the Patong Beach. The Singaporean man was struggling with breathing while he was being massaged. He was provided CPR by a medical staffer before later being pronounced dead at a local hospital.

His wife told police that he did not take enough rest before drinking some beer and having a massage for about 45 minutes. His wife has no doubt about his cause of death. An autopsy was conducted to find his exact cause of death but it was not immediately believed that the massage could have been part of the issue.
