Severe flooding in southern Thailand has prompted coordinated relief efforts to assist affected communities. Authorities are working to address the crisis in the southern border provinces, with key agencies mobilized to provide support and ensure public safety.
General Nattaphon Nakphanich, Deputy Minister of Defesce, met with officials at the Internal Security Operations Command Region 4 Forward Command in Yarang District. During the meeting, he emphasized the importance of collaboration. The Southern Border Provinces Administrative Centre (SBPAC) was designated as the main coordinating body for relief efforts. General Nattaphon directed the Fourth Army Area Command and the Internal Security Operations Command to work closely with SBPAC to assist flood-stricken communities. Local governors and government agencies were urged to maintain public confidence in the management of relief operations.
In Narathiwat Province, Colonel Surasak Phuengyaem, Commander of the 45th Ranger Task Force, collaborated with volunteers and local authorities to evacuate vulnerable residents in Rangae District. Elderly individuals, bedridden patients, and young children were relocated from flood-affected areas to temporary shelters in Tanyongmas Subdistrict.
The 45th Ranger Task Force continues to monitor weather conditions and remains on standby to respond to emergencies. Relief teams are fully prepared to provide assistance to residents as needed.
