Former Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin and Foundation Support Three Schools in Phuket

Phuket – Former Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin, along with the Serm Khla Foundation, is providing much-needed support to three government schools in Thalang, Phuket.

On Wednesday, November 27th, Mr. Srettha, one of the foundation’s founders, revealed that the Serm Khla Foundation has been supporting students in these schools for over 20 years, continuing to provide scholarships and other assistance.

The first school, Hong Yok Bam Rong School, faced issues with their water purifier machine, forcing students to buy water. The foundation sent a mechanical team to repair the machine and install additional water taps for drinking water.

The second school, Baan Pa Krong Chee, has small chicken and mushroom farms where students learn about local agriculture. However, they struggled with their water system. The foundation’s team fixed the water system at the well to support the farms.

At the third school, Baan Laem Sai School, most of the playground equipment, such as the slide, was broken. The foundation plans to purchase two new pieces of playground equipment by the end of this year.

Mr. Srettha’s efforts through the Serm Khla Foundation are significantly improving the learning environments and resources for these students in Phuket.
