Two Men Arrested after Rifle Found in Car in Patong

Two men were arrested on Monday (November 25th) after a rifle was found in a car in Patong.

The Patong Police told the Phuket Express that they were notified of the incident from a victim identified only as Mr. Paphangkorn, 23. He told police that he was threatened with a rifle in front of a convenience store on the Phra Metha Road. The suspects then sped away in a car.

Traffic Police were notified before the suspect’s car was blocked near the Khok Makham Intersection on the Phra Mettha Road. Mr. Kritsana Guearod, 37, was a driver and Mr. Hasanbusree, 27, was a passenger. Police searched inside the car and they found a rifle at the back of the vehicle. They were taken to the Patong Police Station for further legal action.

The circumstances behind the dispute were unclear.
