Dugongs Found Eating Food Plots in Rawai

Rawai –

Dugongs were found eating food plots in Rawai.

Our previous stories:

Officials from the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources and related agencies convened in response to a crisis: the deaths of four dugongs in a single week, particularly near Phuket.

The seagrass is insufficient, so the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources (DMCR) has planted vegetables such as Chinese cabbage, water spinach, kale, lettuce, and seaweed to provide more food to the animals.

Now for the update:

The Thai Department of Coastal Resources (DMCR) told the Phuket Express that the dugongs were found eating food plots after 20 days of placing them as an experiment. Meanwhile, in the Tang Khen Bay in Paklok, no dugong was found eating food plots after five days of placing them as an experiment. However, four of them were found around the area but ignoring the food plots.
