Two Myanmar Nationals Flee Knife-Wielding Suspects in Thalang

At 9:35 PM on November 23rd, 2024, Thalang police responded to a report of an incident involving two Myanmar individuals threatening others with a knife and a sound resembling a gunshot near a residence.

Upon investigation, 23-year-old Nai Yan Win and 22-year-old Min Way Yan, both Myanmar migrant workers, stated that the altercation began with a brief argument at a red light at the Khao Lan-Ban Lipon intersection.

While returning home, they told the police that they were allegedly followed by two unidentified Myanmar men on a motorcycle.

The suspects allegedly threatened them with a knife, prompting the victims to flee and hide in their home. Before leaving, the suspects reportedly made a loud noise resembling a gunshot. No injuries were reported.

Police are now investigating the incident and pursuing the suspects.
