On November 21st, 2024, the MICHELIN Guide Facebook page posted an announcement of its 2025 stars on November 28th unveiling a list of Thailand 156 Bib Gourmand winners, spotlighting affordable eateries offering exceptional quality.
Among these, 20 are first-time entries in the Michelin Guide Thailand, including five in Chonburi, a newly covered province. Three were chosen in Phuket. Chonburi’s entries include Khao Lam Mae Khai Toon Klao (aromatic bamboo sticky rice with diverse fillings), Krua Laew Tae R-Rom (limited-menu seafood and Thai dishes based on daily fresh ingredients), La Voi Pattaya (premium beef stews and soups), Lung Shall Kitchen (simple dishes expertly crafted), and Pladids (seasonal home-style set meals).Phuket also shines with spots like Kin-Kub-Ei (family-style southern Thai dishes), Krua Baan Plathong (spicy Phuket classics like stir-fried shrimp with shrimp paste), and Niyom Salt Grilled Duck (tender grilled duck and chicken with unique dipping sauces).Gwendal Poullennec, Global Director of the Michelin Guide, highlighted Thailand’s variety of small, family-run establishments that preserve culinary traditions while offering budget-friendly options.
