Transgender Woman Allegedly Attacked by Arabian Tourists in Patong

A transgender woman allegedly was attacked by Arabian male tourists on the Bangla Road in Patong.

The Patong Police told the Phuket Express that on Thursday, November 21st, early in the morning, Peerasak, 35, from Songkhla, who is a transgender female, filed a report to police. She told police that two male Arabian tourists asked her if she was a transgender. She said yes before the two Arabian men showed disappointment and began recording her on a mobile phone while making alleged derogatory remarks.

The two parties started a verbal argument which escalated to a physical altercation. They both used plastic chairs to hit each other and she injured her head. The door of a massage shop nearby was also damaged from the fighting. Police said they are continuing their investigation for further legal actions and to find the Arabian tourists to interview them.
