Man Arrested at Hospital After Attacking Police Officer in Thalang, Phuket

Thalang – A man was arrested at a hospital after slashing a police officer at the Tha Chatchai Police Station in Mai Khao.

According to the Tha Chatchai Police, the incident, captured on CCTV footage, occurred at 2:50 AM on Sunday, November 17th. The suspect, identified as Mr. Chooaei, 48, from Phang Nga, was armed with a knife. He forcefully kicked open the door of a room where Lieutenant Colonel Akkaraphon was on duty.

Lieutenant Colonel Akkaraphon attempted to subdue the suspect but was attacked and sustained two slash wounds. The suspect then fled the scene.

Police later discovered that Mr. Chooaei was being treated at a hospital in Phang Nga following an accident. He was subsequently arrested and is now facing charges of attempted murder of an officer. The police did not provide information on the motive behind the attack.
