Rawai –

Nine British motorbike riders were arrested in Rawai after causing a public nuisance.

The Chalong Police told the Phuket Express that in the early morning earlier this week, they were notified from police hotline 191 by a concerned citizen of the incident. A group of foreign riders were racing motorbikes on the Khok San Road heading to the Sai Yuan Road which caused public disturbance during night time.

Police finally found nine British riders. They told police that they rented the motorbikes from Patong. They admitted to police that they were racing the motorbikes. They were taken to the Chalong Police Station for further legal action.

Their names, however, were not released to the media.
