Israeli Tourist Fined 5000 Baht after Riding Motorbike on Kamala Beach

Phuket – An Israeli tourist faced a fine after riding a motorbike on Kamala Beach, an incident that has sparked widespread attention on social media.

The Kamala Police informed the Phuket Express that on Tuesday, November 5th, they were alerted by a concerned citizen about a foreigner riding a motorbike on Kamala Beach. The motorbike had become stuck in the sand, and a video clip of the incident quickly went viral.

Kamala Police Chief Colonel Somsak Thongkleang promptly ordered an investigation. Police officers arrived at Kamala Beach, where they located the foreign rider. He was taken to the Kamala Police Station and identified only as Mr. Amira, a 30-year-old Israeli national.

Mr. Amira explained to the police that in his home country, it is common to ride motorbikes on beaches, and he assumed the same practice was acceptable in Thailand. He noted that he did not see any warning signs indicating that motorbikes or cars were prohibited on the beach. Despite his explanation, Mr. Amira was fined 5,000 Baht for the offense.
