Two Women on a Motorbike Injured after Falling Down Hill in Patong, Brake Failure Blamed

Two women on a motorbike have sustained injuries after they fell down from a hill in Patong on Monday (October 28th).

The Patong Police told the Phuket Express that they were notified of the accident at 5:41 P.M. on the Muean Ngern Road. Rescue workers arrived at the scene to find the motorbike on the roadside. Two injured women were found seven meters down the hill.

Rescue workers dropped themselves down using ropes to pull the two women up to safety. The victims, Ms. Patumkaesorn and Ms. Pratumphon, are sisters, one of them had broken her leg while the other had sustained various moderate injuries.

The sisters told rescue workers that the motorbike brake did not function correctly when they were coming down from the road. They were also unfamiliar with the road before they lost control of the motorbike and crashed.
