Two Motorbike Thieves Arrested in Kathu

Kathu, Phuket – Two suspects have been arrested in connection with motorbike thefts in Kathu. On Monday, October 28th, Mr. Bancha, 27, reported to the Kathu Police that a suspect had attempted to steal his motorbike, which was parked in front of his house.

Mr. Bancha witnessed the suspect about to ride his motorbike, which had the key left in it by accident. He managed to grab the suspect, causing him to fall off the motorbike. However, the suspect quickly sped away on foot, abandoning his damaged motorbike at the scene.

Kathu Police reviewed CCTV footage to track down the suspect. By 1:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 29th, they successfully arrested two suspects, one of whom had attempted to steal Mr. Bancha’s motorbike. During the investigation, police recovered two stolen motorbikes that had been reported missing by other owners.

One of the suspects had recently been released from prison for a prior theft case earlier this year. Both suspects were taken to the Kathu Police Station and are facing charges of theft.
