Alleged Nigerian Drug Dealer Arrested with Cocaine in Patong

An alleged Nigerian drug dealer was arrested in front of a hotel in Patong with cocaine.

The Patong Police told the Phuket Express that earlier this week they arrested a male Nigerian drug suspect. He was arrested in front of a hotel on the Sirirat Road in Patong. Seized from him were 0.88 grams of cocaine. He was taken to the Patong Police Station to face charges of illegal possession of category 2 drugs with intent to sell.

The arrest follows after the Patong Police operated a sting operation to buy cocaine from the Nigerian suspect. He appointed an accomplice, who was not identified, to deliver drug in front of the hotel. The suspect did not release any statement as of press time and The Phuket Express notes that police did not release more details of the suspect.
