Sea Turtle Found Dead in Thalang with Garbage Inside Stomach

Phuket –

A young sea turtle was found dead on the Mai Khao Beach with garbage found inside the turtle.

The Department of Marine and Coastal Resources (DMCR) told the Phuket Express that earlier this week they were notified of the dead sea turtle near the famous plane spotting beach area next to the Phuket International Airport.

They went to the beach where they found a young green sea turtle sea turtle whose gender could not be identified. It measures 52 centimeters in length, 51 centimeters in width, and weighs 12 kilograms. Despite no external wounds, the turtle had begun to decompose.

An autopsy revealed small garbage from such things as plastic, rubber, and rope inside the turtle’s intestines, which is believed to be the cause of death.
