Ninety-Eight Sea Turtles Hatch on Similan Island

Phang Nga –

Ninety-eight baby sea turtles hatched on a beach at the Similan Island in Phang Nga.

The Mu Ko Similan National Park told the Phuket Express that earlier this week 98 baby green sea turtles hatched on a beach in the national park area. They were released back home into the sea.

These are baby sea turtles from the 12th nest found and hatched this year. The mother green sea turtle laid 115 eggs on the beach 60 days ago in August. Seventeen eggs in the clutch sadly did not hatch.
