British Man Drowns at Karon Beach

Phuket –

A male British drowned after going swimming at Karon beach on Tuesday (October 22nd).

The Karon Police told the Phuket Express that they were notified of the incident at 4:00 P.M. on the Karon Beach. The British man was later identified by police only as Mr. Almaric, 43.

He had gone swimming before he was found face down in the water. The unconscious British man was pulled up from the water by a good Samaritan. Emergency responders were called before he was rushed to the Chalong Hospital where he was unfortunately pronounced dead upon arrival.

As of press time his embassy and family were being contacted by relevant Chalong officials.
