British and Thai Tourists Rescued after Long-Tailed Boat Capsizes in Phuket

British and Thai tourists were rescued after a long-tailed boat capsized near an island off Koh Kaew in Mueang Phuket.

The Phuket City Police told the Phuket Express that earlier this week they were notified that a long-tailed boat capsized near the Rang Yai Island. The long -tailed boat from an unidentified tour company was carrying one British tourist and six Thai tourists. They were on a one-day trip to the Khai Nui Island near Koh Kaew.

The boat capsized while the tour group were on their way to the Rang Yai Island nearby. A second boat captain saw them capsize and all of them, including the boat captain, were rescued and taken back to dry land.

The Phuket Express notes that there were no mentions about what happened before the boat capsized leading to the accident.
