A Thai man was arrested after he stole from a Russian woman at the Kata Beach.
The Karon Police told the Phuket Express that on Tuesday (October 22nd), they were notified of the incident from an unidentified female Russian tourist. She told the police that she had placed her bag on the Kata Beach before going swimming. She saw a male suspect who stole her bag and she rushed from the water before calling the police for help.
Police quickly arrested the suspect who was identified by police only as Mr. Su (alias), 35, in Karon. Seized from him was the stolen bag. The bag was returned to the Russian woman which contained all her belongings such as cash, mobile phone, credit cards and jewelry. She said thank you to the Karon Police for their quick work.
