Myanmar Man Kills Relative in Rassada, Claims Self-Defense

Phuket – On October 20th, 2024, a Myanmar national was fatally injured by his relative in Rassada. The Phuket City Police received a report in the afternoon about the incident at a home inside a local fish farm.

Emergency responders and the Phuket Express arrived to find Mr. Mutae, 37, a Myanmar national, dead face down on the floor with severe head injuries. A blood-stained wooden stick, approximately 50 centimeters long, was discovered at the scene.

The suspect, Mr. Naetoe, 42, also a Myanmar national, was present at the scene and claimed self-defense, stating that he would have been killed if he had not acted. Both individuals were found to have entered Thailand illegally.

Mr. Naetoe was taken to the Phuket City Police Station to face further legal charges. The investigation continues as authorities seek to clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident.
