Overstaying German Man Arrested in Patong after Tested Positive for Meth

An overstaying German man was arrested after he tested positive for methamphetamine.

The Patong Police told the Phuket Express that recently they arrested a 29-year-old male German at a room at an unidentified hotel on the Pracha Nukroh Road. Seized from him were items used for taking methamphetamine. His urine test result from a hospital showed him positive for methamphetamine.

Police also found that the German man was overstaying his legal visa. He was taken to the Patong Police Station to face charges of overstay and using illegal drug. The Phuket Express noted that the Patong Police did not reveal the name of the German man and details about what lead to the arrest.
