Latvian Man Wanted for Computer Data Related Crimes in Pattaya Arrested at Phuket Airport

A Latvian man wanted by authorities in Pattaya was arrested at the Phuket International Airport. He was reportedly wanted on an arrest warrant from the Pattaya Criminal Court for computer data related crimes.

Phuket Immigration told the Phuket Express that on Friday (October 11th) they arrested a 47-year-old Latvian male, a wanted suspect. He was arrested at the international arrivals terminal at the airport.

He is being accused of theft, illegally accessing computer data that has specific security measures which are not intended for his use, and illegally acting in a manner that causes damage, impairment, deletion, alteration or addition either in whole or in part of the computer data of another person.

He was taken back to the Pattaya City Police Station for further legal actions.

The Phuket Express noted that the Phuket Immigration did not reveal specific details about the suspect and the case. The Latvian suspect did not release any statement as of the press time.
