Internal Security Operations Command Reassures Public and Tourist Safety

PRESS RELEASE:

The Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC) Region 4 Forward Command has reassured the public and tourists following recent travel advisories from some international media outlets warning against visiting the southern provinces near the Malaysian border. The security agency stated that it has implemented comprehensive safety measures to protect residents, tourists, and businesses in the area amid concerns about ongoing violence.

According to the security unit, incidents of violence have declined significantly over the past year and remain isolated, with minimal impact on the daily lives of locals and tourism activities. Recent figures show that more than 5 million tourists have visited the southern border provinces, with 30% being international visitors, contributing over 10 billion baht to the local economy.

The command has assured both local and international travelers that they can visit the region safely, which is known for its distinctive multicultural atmosphere and rich cultural heritage. The southern provinces continue to welcome tourists looking to explore the unique character and attractions of the area.

ISOC Region 4 Forward Command affirmed the region remains open to visitors and that security forces are actively working to maintain stability and ensure the safety of all those traveling to or residing in the southern provinces.
