Fire Damages Work Camp in Kathu – VIDEO

A fire destroyed a work camp in the Kathu district on Monday (September 30th).

Firefighters at the Kathu Municipality were notified of the fire at 11:00 A.M. near the Si Kor Intersection. They arrived at the scene with fire engines 15 minutes later. The fire was found heavily ablaze with black smoke at the work camp surrounded by banana trees.

It took about half an hour to control the fire. The work camp was damaged by the fire. No injuries or deaths were reported. It is believed that the fire was caused from an electric short circuit.
