Illegal Myanmar Worker Arrested by Marine Police at Rassada Pier

An illegal Myanmar worker was arrested by the Phuket Marine Police at a pier at Rassada Pier.

The Phuket Marine Police told the Phuket Express that earlier this week the arrested Mr. Aung Zawoo, 21, a Myanmar national. He was found painting a speedboat. He was unable to present his passport and legal work permit.

He was taken to the Phuket Marine Police Station in Phuket Town. He admitted to police that he illegally entered Thailand two months ago. He worked as a boat painter for only two days before he was arrested. He received 400 Baht per day.

He was later taken to the Phuket City Police Station to face the charge of entering the kingdom without permission and working without a work permit.
