Videos: Road in Rawai Collapses After Flood

A road in Rawai has collapsed on Tuesday (September 17th) after a flash flood in Phuket on Monday (September 16th).

The Rawai municipality was notified from a road user that part of the Wiset Road (4024) collapsed at 4:47 A.M. near the Mittraparp Road after heavy rain and flash floods.

The damaged road was more than 10 meters wide and six meters deep. A water drain was found under the collapsed road. The area was blocked for road users’ safety. The Phuket Highway Office told the Phuket Express that the road repair will take at least one week.
