133 Tourists Rescued after Being Stuck on Racha Island in Phuket

In total 133 tourists have been rescued after they were stuck on the Racha Yai Island off Rawai.

The Royal Thai Navy Third Area Command told the Phuket Express that on Wednesday (September 18th) they were called for help after a tour boat was unable to leave the Racha Yai Island due to strong waves which were up to four meters high in the open sea.

The Navy arrived on a large boat to bring all 133 tourists safely back to the Phuket Deep Sea Port in Wichit with their luggage. Of those, 127 are Chinese tourists.
