Overstaying Myanmar Woman Arrested for Illegally Working at BB Gun Shooting Range on Bangla Road in Patong

An overstaying Myanmar woman was arrested after she was found illegally working at a shooting range on the Bangla Road in Patong.

The Phuket Immigration Bureau was notified from a concerned citizen that a migrant worker illegally worked at a BB Gun shooting range in Patong. On Friday (September 13th) Immigration inspected the place in question to discover a female migrant worker who was servicing customers to play BB gun shooting games.

She was identified by officers only as MS. THINZAR, 22, a Myanmar national. She entered Thailand on September 24th last year, 2023. She was found with a total of 341 days of overstay. She admitted to police that she had worked at the range for three months and that she received 350 Baht per day from her employer identified only as Ta. She was taken to the Patong Police Station to face charges of overstay and working without legal permission.

Her employer, whom officers did not release any other details about, is facing the charge of employing a migrant worker who does not have a legal work permit.
