Sea Turtle Rescued on Beach in Cherng Talay

Thalang –

A sea turtle was rescued after being washed up on a beach in Cherng Talay, Thalang.

The Department of Coastal Resources told the Phuket Express earlier this week that they were notified of the sea turtle from a hotel staffer at the beach in Laguna. They arrived at the beach to find the young green turtle. Its gender could not be identified.

The turtle is 48.5 centimeters wide, 50.5 centimeters long, and weighs 11 kilograms. Shipworms were found around the weak turtle. It was taken to the Sireetarn Marine Endangered Animal Rescue Center in Wichit for further medical treatment before being released back to the sea.
