British Man Arrested on Pha Ngan Island Illegally Operating Beauty Clinic

A British man was arrested at a house in the Pha Ngan district after he was found allegedly illegally operating a beauty clinic.

The Koh Pha Ngan Police told the Phuket Express that earlier this week they arrested a suspect identified only as Mr. Thomas, 42, a British national. He was arrested at a house in the Koh Pha Nga sub-district. Seized from him were medical and beauty items worth more than three million baht.

He was taken to the Koh Pha Nga Police Station to face charges of operating a medical clinic without permission, selling medicine without permission, illegal possession of unregistered medicine, selling unpaid tax items, and working without permission (beauty service).

Mr. Thomas did not immediately release a statement to the Thai media.
