Now for the update:

On Tuesday (September 3rd), the Phuket Kwaeng Court delivered its verdict in the case of the Swiss Expat, identified only as Mr. David, 45, who allegedly kicked a female Thai doctor in front of his accommodation after a debate over her sitting on what he allegedly said was his property. Local officials later said the location was not actually his property and led to an extended viral dispute online and on social media.

The court has dismissed the case of bodily and mind harm by Mr. David against the doctor. The court said in a brief statement that the benefit of the doubt should be given to Mr. David.

The doctor did not immediately release a statement and it was unclear if an appeal would be filed. Previously, Mr. David faced deportation, blacklisting, and revocation of his Thai visa but it is unclear now if that will still be the case.

David had allegedly profusely apologized and continually attempted to reconcile and resolve the problem with the alleged victim from a financial perspective, however, she reportedly denied these apologies and decided to go to court instead.
