Phuket Warns of Forty-Nine at Risk Villages for Landsides

The Department of Mineral Resources (DMR) has identified 49 villages in Phuket at risk for landslides.

There are in total eight points in all three districts in Phuket that are at risk to cause more landslides.

Now for an update:

The Phuket Governor Sophon Suwannarat told the Phuket Express that the province had issued an urgent letter on Monday (September 2nd) to local authorities to be prepared for flash floods and landslides.

According to the Office of the Natural Water Resources (ONWR) they have issued a warning for Phuket to be aware of flash floods and landslides from September 3rd to September 9th. The Department of Mineral Resources (DMR) has identified 49 villages at risk for landslides which cover all three districts.
