Motorbike Thief in Kamala Arrested at Police Station in Phuket City

Kamala –

A motorbike thief in Kamala was arrested while the prime suspect was ironically already in police custody for a different crime at the Phuket City Police Station.

The Kamala Police Chief Colonel Somsak Thongkleang told the Phuket Express that on Saturday (August 17th) an unidentified motorbike owner filed a report to the local police which stated that a motorbike which was parked in a Kamala resort had been stolen.

Kamala Police checked CCTV footage before they identified the suspect only as a serial criminal known as Mr. Rawin. Police found that he had already been in custody at the Phuket City Police Station with another theft case on Monday (August 19th). Rawin admitted that he also stole the motorbike in Kamala and stated that he had hidden the stolen motorbike in Rassada.

The details of Mr. Rawin’s secondary theft case were not released by Kamala police.

Rawin will be taken to the Kamala Police Station after being formally charged with theft in his other case at the Phuket City Police Station.
