Restaurant Staffer in Phuket Town Stabbed in Right Leg by Angry Teenager

A male restaurant staffer in Phuket Town has sustained injuries from a stab wound to his right leg.

The Phuket City Police were notified of the incident at 6:30 P.M. on Monday (August 19th) at a restaurant on the Lim Sui Ju Road in the Talad Yai sub-district. An unidentified restaurant owner told police that a male teenager who was later identified only as Mr. Jaroenrit came into the restaurant. He used a knife to stab his employee, Mr. Pawin Chomjan, in his right leg before speeding away, leaving customers and employees shocked and disturbed.

It was unclear if the victim and the suspect know each other or have any previous conflict. However, the Phuket City Police are hunting for the suspect as of press time while the victim was taken to a local hospital for medical treatment for a serious but non-life threatening wound.
