Two Men Arrested after Stealing Motorbikes in Phuket

Two male suspects were arrested after they stole many motorbikes in Kamala and Thalang.

The Kamala Police Chief Colonel Somsak Thongkleang told the Phuket Express that they were notified that many motorbikes were being stolen locally from victims. They tracked down two particular suspects using CCTV before they arrested Mr. Surasing ‘Noom’, 39, and Mr. Roongroj ‘Roj’, 36, in Thalang. Police seized four stolen motorbikes in the Kamala and Thalang area.

They two suspects admitted to police that they stole those motorbikes. They stated that they chose motorbikes that were unlocked before removing the license plates. They then hid those stolen motorbikes on a mountain in Thalang.

The suspects then separated the motorbikes and sold parts to motorbike repair shops. The two suspects said they needed the money to buy illegal drugs for themselves. They were taken to the Kamala Police Station to face charges of theft.
