Phuket Proposed as Host of InterPride World Conference in 2025

PRESS RELEASE:

The Thai Government has recently announced that Thailand is ready to propose Phuket Province as the host for the InterPride World Conference in 2025. This proposal is also a significant step forward in Thailand’s “Road to WorldPride Campaign” to be the host of WorldPride in 2030.

The purpose is to enhance Thailand’s tourism through the meetings, incentive travel, conventions, and exhibitions (MICE) industry – such as the promotion of the country as a medical tourism center and a long-stay destination for LGBTQ+ families – and the establishment of the Asian Pride Alliance as a way to strengthen the collaboration of the LGBTQ+ community in the region, connecting to the global Pride network.

The preceding is a press release from the Thai Government PR Department.
