Russian Man Falls to Death from Condominium in Phuket

A 37 year-old Russian man fell to his death from a condominium in Chalong on Saturday (August 10th).

The Phuket Tourist Police were notified of the incident at 11:45 A.M. at a condominium on the Patak Road in Chalong. Police and medical staffers arrived at the condominium shortly after.

The body of the Russian man who was identified as Mr. VLADISLAV SAENKO, 37, was found at an under construction building next to the condominium. He was wearing only shorts. Police believed that he died at least one hour before his body was found.

Police found that the Russian man lived on fifth floor at the condominium. No sign of a struggle was found in his room or on his body and his luggage and belongings was found packed. A staffer at the condominium told police that he had checked in on August 2nd alone. He was set to return to his country on Saturday (August 10th).

A witness, identified only as Mr. Rsan, 52, a Turkish national, told police that at 11:13 A.M. he was at the pool on the roof top of the condominium. He saw the Russian man alone staring at the pool nearby. Mr. Rsan said hello to the Russian man but he did not reply back. Five minutes later, the Russian man jumped from his balcony.
