Two Suspects Arrested at Phuket Checkpoint with 51 Meth Pills

Two suspects were arrested at the Phuket Checkpoint in Thalang with 51 methamphetamine pills.

The Thalang District office told the Phuket Express that they were making random inspections at a checkpoint in the Tha Chatchai sub-district from 6:00 P.M. to midnight on Friday (August 9th). At 8:30 P.M. a yellow car was stopped at the checkpoint. Officers searched inside the car after the driver looked suspicious.

They found 51 methamphetamine pills inside the car. The driver and his passenger tested positive with methamphetamine. Two suspects were arrested before being taken to the Tha Chatchai Police Station to face charges of illegal possession of category 1 drugs and using illegal drug.

The Phuket Express noted that officers did not release personal details about the two suspects.
